XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3 is Mercedes-Benz dealer system was introduced in 2016 and it composes of the XENTRY Diagnosis PAD (Tablet) and the Diagnosis VCI multiplexer/Interface. The kit has a more advanced tablet with new features when compared to its predecessor XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3.
Simplified operating concept. The new diagnostic equipment concept consists as usual of two components, the XENTRY Diagnosis Pad and XENTRY Diagnosis VCI. The main new feature compared to XENTRY Kit 2 is that the diagnosis software and all its applications have been moved onto the XENTRY Diagnosis Pad. Remote connection via XENTRY Control is thus eliminated. XENTRY Diagnosis VCI comes in a considerably smaller and sturdy design. It now only acts as an interface to the vehicle with no PC core.
Easy IT integration. The connection between XENTRY Diagnosis Pad and VCI is independent of the workshop infrastructure. Only XENTRY Diagnosis Pad is integrated. Connection between XENTRY Diagnosis Pad and XENTRY Diagnosis VCI is via a direct WLAN connection. Switching between Service 24h and workshop mode is therefore omitted in the field.
It is recommended to use a powerful battery maintainer that is suitable for lead and lithium batteries when diagnosing or programming vehicles.
